Herbs And Teas For Headaches
55Getting Over A Headache
Keeping Headaches At Bay
A headache can reek havoc in one's life. There are two types of headaches and they are primary and secondary. Primary headaches are tension, migraine and cluster events and are generally not caused by any underlying medical condition. Secondary headaches are associated with underlying medical conditions like tumors, strokes and injuries to the head and need intervention by a physician because of their potential to be life threatening.
Ninety percent of headaches are primary events and generally requires no medical intervention. As a result of this, people usually buy over the counter drugs like ibuprofen and aspirin to ease their symptoms. There are also the usual Old Wives' Tale about tying a string around your head and doing a dance.
However, today people are attractive to a more holistic approach and have opted for more natural remedies for headaches like Feverfew, Ginkgo Biloba, and Skullcap. Below is a receipe for homemade herbal headache Pills which I found online.

- Basil
- Catnip
- Chamomile
- Evening Primrose
There are many more available online. Natural and holistic remedies are sometimes more appropriate than standard over the counter remedies like ibuprofen. However check with your physician about the efficacy of using them as they may interact with the system if you are on any medication.
